Lead Sr. Turnaround Planner

Job description

Lead the preparation, planning and scheduling of the Turnaround. Follow-up the work progress, update & report the actual vs. baseline plan, resources identification, tracking material & Services status tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Scope Definition and Coordination: Gather and define the scope of work in coordination with stakeholders, adhering to pre-defined criteria. Coordinate the scope screening process with various trades.
  • Work Plan Development: Develop detailed work plans, including job tasks, resource allocation, and material reservations. Coordinate with different trades to ensure comprehensive and integrated work packages. Report on the progress of work plan development.
  • Safety Planning and Risk Mitigation: Coordinate the implementation of safety plans, including JHA, risk assessments, and rescue plans, to mitigate risks across all work packages.
  • Material and Service Management: Track the status of materials and services from ordering to delivery.
  • Schedule Development and Integration: Develop and integrate work schedules, considering operational shutdowns, blinding, decontamination, de-blinding, and startup activities. Ensure optimal resource allocation, calculate manpower requirements, and identify critical paths and areas.
  • Pre- and Post-Turnaround Activities: Follow up and coordinate pre- and post-turnaround activities.
  • Work Execution and Progress Monitoring: Monitor work execution, compare actual progress to the plan, and update the schedule accordingly. Identify and report critical areas.
  • Mechanical Completion and PSSR Coordination: Coordinate with process safety and operations teams to review mechanical completion and PSSR before startup.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, with experience in fertilizer plants being highly preferred. Must have a working knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards, and be able to demonstrate their application.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Proficient in CMMS software, with Maximo experience being a strong advantage.
  • Language Skills: Good command of the English language.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in project scheduling software, such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities to guide and motivate others.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills: Strong analytical and reporting skills to analyze data and create clear, concise reports.
